Bikes, Blues & BBQ Rally is Bigger Than Ever

Get ready for an even bigger and better Bikes, Blues and Barbecue Rally in NW Arkansas this year. Each year since inception in 2000, the rally has added more of everything. The growth has been phenomenal in just a few short years.

The fun begins next week--Wednesday, September 28 and doesn’t slow down until midnight October 1.

Hundreds of thousands of people flock each year to a number of venues in Fayetteville. This year the Rally will expand to include two days of events at Parsons Arena in Springdale.

There will be motocross, professional and amateur racing, Harley-Davidson Village, Parade of Power on Saturday, music, food, plenty of vendors, BBQ competition, Miss BBQ competition and way more.

The best parts of all are it’s good family fun and all proceeds go to local charities such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, Meals on Wheels, Horses for Healing, CASA, Peace at Home Shelter, and many others.

More than $600,000 has been donated so far.

It’s Almost Time for Bikes, Blues and Barbecue in Fayetteville Arkansas!

Mark September 23-26 on your calendar and come to Fayetteville for the big BBB event. Each year it grows bigger and better.

What’s to do, you ask?

Show off your motorcycle, ride it in the Parade of Power or the Poker Run. If you don’t have a bike, there will be thousands of them to look at. Most of the major motorcycle companies will be present and some will offer demo rides.

Eat some of the best barbecue around or help decide the People’s Choice Award. The Kansas City Barbeque Society has added BBB to its 2009 Great American BBQ Tour.

Listen to great music – free.

Enjoy breathing good, clean air. Enjoy good, clean family fun. Enjoy the beautiful Ozarks.

And if all this isn’t enough, how about the fact that the proceeds go to local charities and no taxpayer funds are used to host the event. Hundreds of volunteers make it happen.

Bikes, Blues and BBQ in Fayetteville, Arkansas

It’s that time of year again. Time when a few hundred thousand people will descend on Fayetteville for the 9th Annual Bikes, Blues and BBQ Motorcycle Rally September 24-27.

BB & BBQ bills itself as the largest charitable bike rally in the United States! Last year more than $100,000 was donated to local charities. The rally is self-funded and does not receive any government funding.

BB & BBQ is fun for the whole family. There are the bikes, of course, which are always a sight to see. Entertainment is on various stages afternoons and evenings - much of it free. Plus you won’t want to miss an opportunity to taste some serious cooking during the barbecue cook off competition.

The raffle items this year include a Harley-Davidson Rocker C motorcycle.

Fayetteville Firefighters Association will again host the Poker Run which last year raised almost $9,000 for charity.

Bikes, Blues & BBQ Rally in Fayetteville

The 8th Annual Bikes, Blues & BBQ Rally will be rolling into Fayetteville October 3rd through Saturday, October 6th this year. It’s a popular event with something for everyone from the long-time Harley enthusiasts to the novice “wannabes” and everyone else looking for family fun. Last year more than 300,000 people attended and this year will no doubt be even bigger and better.

If you’ve never been to the Ozarks at this time of year, that’s reason enough to make your way here. The weather is about as close to perfect as you can wish for with warm days, cool nights, and average temps in the 70s. The fall foliage is an added bonus. Leaves are usually turning colors at this time and the drive to Fayetteville is beautiful.

Fayetteville is located only six hours from Dallas and St. Louis, five hours from Memphis, four hours from Kansas City, and two hours from Tulsa, Oklahoma and Branson, Missouri.

Obviously the rally itself has motorcycles of every description, plus vendors, free musical venues, and BBQ cookoffs. There is a parade, a raffle featuring a $19,000 Harley-Davidson, a poker run, the Johnsonville Big Grill that’s so big it can grill 2,500 brats an hour, the Miss Bikes, Blues & BBQ contest and much, much more.

In addition, the rally is good, clean fun. A lot of effort goes into keeping it family friendly and in keeping with community values. Fayetteville is a beautiful city that welcomes all its visitors so come on down and join the fun.

Perhaps best of all, Bikes, Blues & BBQ is a non-profit organization that donates proceeds to area charities. When the 2006 rally was over, about $150,000 was donated to local charities.
